コロナ禍で中止となった短期留学の代替プログラムとして、１２月１３日～１７日の日程でエンパーメントプログラムを実施しました。
中３～中５の希望者３４名が、７人の外国人講師と共に、朝から夕方までオールイングリッシュで様々なプログラムに参加しました。実用英語のトレーニングに留まらず、様々なトピックスについて考え、ディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを行い、最終日には全員の前でスピーチを堂々と発表するまでになりました。
先日、参加生徒達からのアンケートも集計が済み、参加生徒全員が【今回のプログラムに「非常に満足」】という回答をしていました。 以下、参加生徒たちの感想です。
“I am gong to talk about what I learned by joining Empowerment Program. There are two things. First of all, it is important to have confidence. I was reluctant to speak in public before joining this project. However, after talking with the group leader and teammates for five days, I’ve become more and more confident than before. Second, I can broaden my horizon, because I heard a lot about the dreams of group leaders and why they study. These experiences will be of great help to my life in the future. I’ll recommend you to join us.”
“I joined empowerment program for 5 days. Let me tell you about that. I learned two things from this program. First, it is important to talk to everyone about what I think. I was shy at first, but through discussions with group members and team leaders, I found it interesting to exchange opinions. Second, having confidence to myself is good thing! I thought about “identity”,”positive thinking”,and so on,so I realized that it’s not a bad thing to love yourself. In conclusion, I can think about things from a different perspective. I feel good to perticipate in this program!”
